A wormhole is a carnivorous hole appearing in Might and Magic: The Dreamwright. It consists of two large, circular holes in the ground, a tunnel between them, and a stomach that travels from end to end while digesting its prey. The two ends are usually very far apart.

The holes are covered by a thin layer of soil or rock when they're not in use, but can usually be recognized by the rubble, bones, and metal surrounding them. The worm can eat prey at either end, and the remains will exit on the other side. The stomach can only be on one side at the time, meaning that it's completely harmless if the stomach is away, and extremely dangerous if it isn't.

It consumes its prey with a red, foul-smelling digestive ichor that can eat through things when warm, but becames harmless, if sticky and disgusting, if allowed to cool down. When a wormhole ejects the remains of its prey, it starts with a low humming, followed by a high-pitched whine and a shuddering of the earth, before the remains are thrown out.

Hitch and Diligence encountered two wormholes on their travels. The first was most likely dead, its hole was dark reddish brown, and the soil felt strange, as if permeated by a sticky fluid. Diligence cautioned Hitch not to walk on it - even if the worm was dead, he could fall through to his death.

The fell into the second wormhole while fleeing from Dubiel's soldiers. Luckily, they were in a wagon, which lasted just long enough for them to survive the journey. Hitch said it felt like falling down an extremely steep slope that was coated with thick mud, followed by a horizontal journey where they were jerked forward fifteen or twenty yards at a time, as if passed forward by enormous hands. They were then thrown out of the hole, and while the wagon was destroyed, they both survived.

Jassad Attqua also fell into the hole, but his instrument suit allowed him to emerge absolutely unscathed.
