Nature Magic is a school of magic in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. Using these spells requires the hero to learn the appropriate level of Nature Magic skill.

The hero can learn chaos magic spells by visiting druid's hall magic guild in Preserve towns, witch hall in Asylum towns and Order of Nature in Haven towns. The hero can learn all Nature Magic spells if they carry the Tome of Nature, up to their level of expertise in Nature Magic.

SpellSpeedIV Speed Blessings Speed increases a friendly target's speed and movement by 3. Something flashed at the edge of my vision. I turned. Nothing but trees. There it was again! Little did I know that this would continue for hours before I left the forest.OffBck Speed can be replaced by fatigue or slow spells. This spell does not stack with the haste spell.
SpellStoneskinIV Stoneskin Blessings Stoneskin increases the target's Melee and Ranged Defense by 25%. Then the druid put two pebbles in his mouth. Was he mad? I soon found out why as his skin hardened, turning instead the same color and texture as granite.OffBck Gargoyles have this ability.

SpellSummonSpriteIV Summon sprite Summoning spells Summon a number of sprites based on the level of the caster. At conjunctions of Nature and magic, the beautiful sprite is born beneath the petals of a flower under the light of the full moon.OffBck
SpellSummonWolfIV Summon wolf Summoning spells Summon a number of wolves based on the level of the caster. Wolves are the soldiers of Nature. They instinctively understand rank, and they already hunt in highly organized goups under the command of their strongest member.OffBck Summon wolf's power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Beastmaster or Beast Lord class.
SpellSummonLeprechaunIV Summon leprechaun Summoning spells Summon a number of leprechauns based on the level of the caster. The leprechaun is a creature so in tune with the forces of luck that he is capable of passing some of it off to the people around him.OffBck
SpellTerrainWalkIV Terrain walk Blessings Terrain Walk gives the target the ability to walk on all terrains without penalty during combat. Each step through the muddy bog felt like twenty. By the time we reached the enemy, we were exhausted. But the elves, they were still fresh and moving about without any trouble. How?OffBck

Heroes with Bard class have this ability.
SpellGiantStrengthIV Giant strength Blessings Giant Strength increases the target's Hit Points and damage by 25%. She was a little old woman. No one expected any trouble from her. Before we knew it, three of us had broken arms! OffBck Giant strength can be cast on a unit with dragon strength spell applied.
SpellQuicksandIV Quicksand N/A Create a patch of Quicksand, the size of which is based on the caster's level. All targets require a full turn to move through 2 feet of quicksand. I refuse to fight an enemy who has the ground itself at their command! War is about gaining strategic ground, but what do you do when the enemy changes the rules of Nature?OffBck Water elementals can cast this spell. Creatures with terrain walk ability are immune to this spell.
SpellSnakeStrikeIV Snake strike Blessings Snake Strike gives the target the First Strike ability. This spell does not stack with the first strike spell. Our commander faced the elven swordsman one-on-one. There was no way that puny woodsman could beat him. But in a flash, the elf struck and our captain fell dead without drawing his blade.OffBck
SpellSummonElfIV Summon elf Summoning spells Summon a number of elves based on the level of the caster. The regal, artistic elf is one of the oldest living races. Perhaps their ability to live peacefully with their environment is one of the reasons they have survived while other races have died out.OffBck
SpellSummonSatyrIV Summon satyr Summoning spells Summon a number of satyrs based on the level of the caster. Life is an endless party for the carefree satyr. It is said that if a satyr were to become depressed it would kill him as certain as any blade.OffBck

SpellWaspSwarmIV Wasp swarm Curses Wasp Swarm summons a cloud of wasps that distract the enemy target for one round. It has no influence on undead or mechanical creatures. It was like a black cloud, a buzzing and stinging cloud! I ran. If not for that pool, I don't know what I would've done.OffBck

SpellSummonAirElementalIV Summon air elemental Summoning spells Summon a number of air elementals based on the level of the caster. How can something made only of air hurt you? Easy. Air elementals are creatures capable of manipulating every particle in the air and conjuring bolts of lightning out of clear sky.OffBck Summon air elemental's power can be additionally boosted if the hero has Ring of the Elementals artifact equipped.
SpellSummonEarthElementalIV Summon earth elemental Summoning spells Summon a number of earth elementals based on the level of the caster. Rock and soil are not as permanent as they seem. Over time - decades - centuries, they change shape, erode and move about. Anyone who has witnessed a forest fire understands that it has a life of its own. SpellSummonUnicornIV Summon unicorn Summoning spells Summon a number of unicorn based on the level of the caster. Haughty and elusive, the unicorn believes it is the grandest creature ever created, and thus it feels responsible for the lives of those poor lesser beings of the forest.OffBck
SpellSummonWaspwortIV Summon waspwort Summoning spells Summon a number of waspworts based on the level of the caster. Native to this new world, the waspwort is a feared denizen of nature because it has no sense of morality, only an instinct to survive and consume.OffBck

SpellSummonFaerieDragonIV Summon faerie dragon Summoning spells Summon a number of faerie dragons based on the level of the caster. Any forest under the protection of a faerie dragon is a calm and magical place, one best left alone if you're wise. Like the sprite, this creature is born magically, spawned by the forces of Nature from a clear pool of water.OffBck
SpellSummonMantisIV Summon mantis Summoning spells Summon a number of mantises based on the level of the caster. Despite rumors to the contrary, the giant mantis is a natural beast, and like its smaller cousin it is cold and merciless. Sure, it's difficult to believe your own eyes when you seen an insect of that size. Now, imagine fighting one!OffBck
SpellSummonPhoenixIV Summon phoenix Summoning spells Summon a number of phoenixes based on the level of the caster. Whether it is a true bird or a creature of flames is undetermined. Both perhaps. Like Nature though, the phoenix never really dies. It's just stuck in an endless cycle of life and death.OffBck Ordinarily, the summoned creatures disappear once killed, but phoenixes' rebirth ability is first applied.

These spells cannot be learned by the hero, but are cast by other methods.

Icon Spell Category Description Blurb Notes
Binding Curses Binds the last target struck in combat. Bound targets cannot move, and do half damage when they attack. Any action other than an attack will free bound targets. Bind is inflicted by mantises. The effect is still applied if the creature that bound the target defends or waits. This ability ignores magic resistance. It can be bought from an arsenal in a Stronghold town.
Potion of endurance Blessings The army who drinks this potion gains +3 movement. Only one potion may be used per day per party. This potion cannot be consumed during combat. It can be bought from an arsenal in a Stronghold town.
Potion of luck Blessings Gives the hero who drinks this potion maximum positive luck. This potion's effect is treated as fortune spell.
Potion of resistance Blessings The hero who drinks this potion gains 50% magic resistance for the duration of one combat. It can be bought from an arsenal in a Stronghold town.
Potion of strength Blessings The melee damage of the hero who drinks this potion temporarily increases by 25% for the duration of one combat. The effect is not cumulative. This potion can be consumed outside combat. It can be bought from a ranger's guild in a Preserve town.
Potion of toughness Blessings The hit points of the hero who drinks this potion temporarily increases by 25% for the duration of one combat. The effect is not cumulative. This potion can be consumed outside combat. It can be bought from a ranger's guild in a Preserve town.
SpellSummonImpIV Summon imp Summoning spells Summons a number of imps based on the level of the caster. All summoned creatures vanish after combat ends. Requires Basic Nature Magic and Basic Demonology. I don't normally like having those disgusting Imps around, but sometimes when you're fighting another spellcaster they help.OffBck Summon imp spell costs 5 mana. This spell is automatically added to the hero's spellbook once the required skills are learned. Summon imp's power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Demonologist class or has demonary artifact equipped.
SpellSummonCerberusIV Summon cerberus Summoning spells Summons a number of cerberi based on the level of the caster. All summoned creatures vanish after combat ends. Requires Advanced Nature Magic and Advanced Demonology. The crusader approached confidently, ready to skewer me. Then with a wave of my hand, there they were! My faithful puppies.OffBck Summon cerberus spell costs 8 mana. This spell is automatically added to the hero's spellbook once the required skills are learned. Summon cerberus' power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Demonologist class or has demonary artifact equipped.
SpellSummonIceDemonIV Summon ice demon Summoning spells Summons a number of ice demons based on the level of the caster. All summoned creatures vanish after combat ends. Requires Expert Nature Magic and Expert Demonology. Moments before they arrive, the temperature drops drastically,bringing a chill even to my bones.OffBck Summon ice demon spell costs 12 mana. This spell is automatically added to the hero's spellbook once the required skills are learned. Summon ice demon's power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Demonologist class or has demonary artifact equipped.
SpellSummonVenomSpawnIV Summon venom spawn Summoning spells Summons a number of venom spawns based on the level of the caster. All summoned creatures vanish after combat ends. Requires Master Nature Magic and Master Demonology. The words of summoning are almost as foul as the creature they bring up. Almost.OffBck Summon venom spawn spell costs 18 mana. This spell is automatically added to the hero's spellbook once the required skills are learned. Summon venom spawn's power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Demonologist class or has demonary artifact equipped.
SpellSummonDevilIV Summon devil Summoning spells Summons a number of devils based on the level of the caster. All summoned creatures vanish after combat ends. Requires Grandmaster Nature Magic and Grandmaster Demonology. They are usually furious about being forced into temporary servitude. I like that! They have no choice but to take it out on my enemy.OffBck Summon devil spell costs 24 mana. This spell is automatically added to the hero's spellbook once the required skills are learned. Summon devil's power can be additionally boosted if the hero is of Demonologist class or has demonary artifact equipped.
