Tavin is a halfling that is mentioned in the Armageddon's Blade campaign in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade. He is the leader of a halfling ambush group known as "Tavin's Guerillas" that attempts to free Eeofol from the kreegans.
Tavin and his forces attacked kreegan supply caravans and barracks. The halflings never fought openly, preferring to rely on well-placed ambushes and hit-and-run tactics.
Tavin often operated in the same area as Gelu's forces. At one point, Gelu's scout Kieran saw a horde of halflings ambushing a group of demons trying to sneak into AvLee. The halflings killed their enemies, then vanished into well-hidden tunnel entrances. Though these tactics were usually effective, they would sometimes suffer heavy losses - near Moortanis, Gelu found a battlefield with hundreds of slain halflings.
As Gelu prepared to attack Xeron in his palace, he learned that there were several halfling slaves in there. Unknown to Xeron, these were actually members of Tavin's Guerillas, planted in the palace to act as spies.
During the attack on Kreelah, Tavin sent some of his forces to join Gelu's army, to fight alongside him as he helped the halflings reclaim their homeland. One morning, another group of halflings stopped by to inform Gelu that they had slain Xex, Xeron's archdevil lackey.
