Win the scavenger hunt is a main quest in Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor. You start the game with this quest already in your log.

Lord Markham has decided to hold a scavenger hunt and give away a castle (and the responsibilities as lords of the castle and surrounding area) as the grand prize. There are six objects: a red potion, a seashell, a longbow, a floor tile, a musical instrument, and a wealthy hat, that must be returned to the judge for the contest to be won.

Note: Sal Sharktooth and his goons at first appear friendly; if you do not speak to Sal, especially after retrieving the wealthy hat, then he and his goons will leave you alone.

Walkthrough[]

Some of the objects may be obtained in several ways, and some have only one method of obtainment. These methods are:

  • Red potion: may be mixed, bought from a shop, or found as treasure.
  • Seashell: may be found as treasure, or bought (or stolen or looted) from an NPC in front of the Dragon's Lair.
  • Longbow: only a specific longbow will do. The one in question is inside the Dragon's Lair (not very far inside).
  • Floor tile: may only be found in the Temple of the Moon (cave), far in the back, inside a secret room. Face the altar and take the left passage.
  • Musical instrument: may only be bought (or stolen or looted) from an NPC near the city entrance.
  • Wealthy hat: may be traded for a red potion with an NPC up on the hill, or obtained from a chest inside the Temple of the Moon. Face the altar and take the right passage.

Thomas the judge will award 500 xp for each item as it's found. After all the items have been found, Lord Markham will award a 1000 xp bonus, plus the castle and the cost of the ship to Harmondale.
