"The perception skill gives your characters a chance to notice hidden doors and traps, and to avoid damage from traps when they are triggered. At expert and master levels, your characters will notice more. Grandmasters will see all hidden objects."

Perception is a skill in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer that lets characters avoid traps and notice treasures. Necromancers and Trolls can learn normal perception, Clerics, Knights, and Vampires can learn expert perception, Minotaurs, Dark elves, and Dragons can learn master perception, and Minotaur lords and Great wyrms can learn grandmaster perception.

Effect[]

  • Normal: +1% chance to avoid traps and notice treasures per skill point.
  • Expert: +2% chance to avoid traps and notice treasures per skill point.
  • Master: +3% chance to avoid traps and notice treasures per skill point.
  • Grandmaster: 100% success.
