"A paladin can use any weapon or item of armor, unless of opposite alignment or designed exclusively for another class. General fighting skills are equal to an archer's except that a paladin cannot use missile weapons during hand-to-hand combat."
The Paladin is one of the six classes in Might and Magic I. Paladins are proficient in all weapons and armor, and once they reach a high enough level, they can cast cleric spells. Their spell level is calculated by this formula: (Experience level - 5) / 2, with a maximum of 4. They are worse fighters than the knight, but their spellcasting is useful.
To become a paladin, a character must have might, personality, and endurance scores of at least 12. The base hit point growth of a paladin is between 1 and 10 hit points per level, but since they must have at least 12 endurance at the start of the game, the real growth will always be higher.
