The Nightmare is a third-level creature from the Asylum town in Heroes of Might and Magic IV.
Comments
The Nightmare is not a bad attack unit for the Asylum. It lacks the Efreet's mobility, however, but Terror grants it some tactical possibilities.
It's worth noting that AI nightmares tend to cast terror on the most powerful stack in your army if they have the required line of sight. This is exploitable in siege combat: if you eliminated all the enemy ranged units, use displacement on the nightmares to put them near the wall, they will cast terror on your strongest stack (which, unless ranged, you probably won't be using at this point), giving you another turn to fire at the nightmare stack.
Abilities
Terror allows this creature to cast Terror on an opponent. Enemies who are frozen by Terror cannot take any actions for one turn.
