- For other uses, see necromancer.
Necromancers are the only standard hero class to begin the game with Basic Death Magic and Occultism. As such, they are inclined towards joining Advanced classes which include Death Magic as a prerequisite, including Assassin, Dark Lord, Dark Priest, Demonologist, Lich, Ninja, Reaver or Shadow mage.
The Necromancer is most likely to learn Death Magic and fairly likely to learn the Order Magic and Chaos magic skills. Necromancers can not learn Life Magic or Nature Magic when leveling up unless some basic training in those skills is already known.
The Necromancers of the old world were originally affiliated with the Necromantic Order, which held power in Enroth, Antagarich and Jadame. Because the Reckoning destroyed their ancient society, those who survived and journeyed to Axeoth were left without a nation and a common cause, until Gauldoth Half-Dead forged the kingdom of Nekross years later.
