The Necromancer is the basic magic class of the Necropolis faction in Heroes of Might and Magic IV. It starts with Basic Death Magic and Basic Occultism. Its might counterpart is the Death Knight.
Lore[]
The Necromancers of the old world were originally affiliated with the Necromantic Order, which held power in Enroth, Antagarich and Jadame.[1] Because the Reckoning destroyed their ancient society, those who survived and journeyed to Axeoth were left without a nation and a common cause, until Gauldoth Half-Dead forged the kingdom of Nekross years later.[2]
Skills[]
The Necromancer has the following priorities to learn secondary skills:
- 5: Necromancy
- 4: Death Magic, Demonology, Occultism
- 2: Chaos Magic and Order Magic, as well as all of their related skills, have a priority of 2.
- 1: Healing, Herbalism, Meditation, Pathfinding, Resurrection, Scouting, Seamanship, Spirituality
- 0: Life Magic, Nature Magic, Stealth
