Nobility & Tactics
The bonus of the Lord commander gives all friendly creatures +2 morale.
The Lord commander is most likely to learn Tactics and Nobility and fairly likely to learn the Combat and Scouting skills. Magic skills can also be learned when leveling up, but have less chance of appearing for selection.
The Lord commander's extra morale is a useful addition in battle (twice the bonus of the General), and the combination of Tactics and Nobility will give the hero the opportunity to lead a large, powerful force if they use their skills. One of the better classes in the game.
