The Initiate is the first promotion of the monk in Might and Magic VII: For Blood and Honor. To be promoted to initiates, monks must seek out Bartholomew Hume in Harmondale and complete his quest to pray at a specific altar in the Barrow Downs.

Initiates gain 6 hit points and 1 spell point per level. They can learn expert disarm trap instead of basic, and basic spirit, mind, and body magic.

Promotion[]

If playing as a good party, initiates can be promoted to masters by talking to Bartholomew Hume in Harmondale and completing his quest to kill the High Priest of Baa at the Temple of Baa in AvLee. Masters can learn expert spirit, mind, and body magic.

If playing as an evil party, they can instead be promoted to ninjas by talking to Stephan Sand in The Pit and completing his quest to find the Tomb of the Master in southern Erathia. Ninjas can learn master disarm trap and expert stealing.
