The God of Sacrifice is a deity in Axeothian mythology who plays a role in one of the tales surrounding the origin of the Sword of the Gods. Renowned for slaughtering entire towns, he attracted the attention of a forgotten hero known only as the "Warrior of Light". Journeying to Paradise, the Warrior forged the Sword under the auspices of the gods of good, and faced the God of Sacrifice on Axeoth in a battle that reportedly lasted a year and a day. Eventually, the two managed to exchange blows, each slaying the other.
The truth behind the legend is ambiguous, as another tale reports that the Sword belonged to a war god who fell in love with one of his followers, but slaughtered everyone in sight using her blade upon her death, leaving his residual power behind in the weapon.
