Grunts were the first-tier, non-upgraded units planned to appear in the scrapped Forge faction set to debut in Heroes of Might and Magic III: Armageddon's Blade. Though they did not appear in the retail product, an image of their in-game appearance was unveiled at E3 of May 1999.

Statistics[]

Though no specific details have been given regarding their statistics, Grunts were certainly ranged units. They could not fly, and occupied one hex on the battlefield. According to the Nether Gods site, their attributes were as strong but no greater than other first-tier units.[1] They could be upgraded to foot soldiers.

Lore[]

Grunts were armored Enrothian Goblins, presumably native to Deyja, equipped with blaster pistols as they appeared in Might and Magic VII, along with hand-to-hand knives for melee combat.
