Disrupting Ray is a first-level Death Magic spell in Heroes of Might and Magic IV that costs two spell points and reduces the target unit's Melee and Ranged defense by 20%.


Use this spell to soften up a target just before your heavy-hitters attack them.

For such a lowly spell, it can make an appreciable difference even in late-game battles. Since there is no mass version (except for Unholy Song, which only affects Life units), this spell remains useful throughout the game.
