"Chain armor is the medium armor type. It provides more protection than leather and less than plate, but it also slows your character down more than leather. Chain armor skill increases the protection offered by chain armor."
Chain is a skill in Might and Magic VIII: Day of the Destroyer that increases the effectiveness of chain armor. Clerics, Trolls, and Vampires can learn expert chain, Knights, Minotaurs, and Dark elves can learn master chain, and Patriarchs can learn grandmaster chain.
Effect[]
- Normal: +1 bonus to AC per skill point.
- Expert: 50% reduction to recovery penalty from wearing chain mail armor.
- Master: eliminates recovery penalty from wearing chain mail armor.
- Grandmaster: 2/3 damage from physical attacks.
