Batal is one of the four clan leaders of the Stronghold who appear in the One Khan, One Clan scenario of the To Honour Our Fathers campaign in the Heroes of Might and Magic V expansion, Tribes of the East. Kujin needs to convince all of them to follow Gotai.
Batal is chief of the Ull-Dash clan, who use the secret of luck to win many seemingly desperate battles. Batal didn't know that Gotai was the new khan, and since his shaman had told him that following Quroq was bad luck, he resisted Kujin's efforts to get him to join the horde. Once he learned the truth of the matter, he joined willingly.
Batal has the same icon as Kilghan.
